MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 1997 The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 9:11 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 308, West Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding. Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Scott Brison, Bill Graham, Gurmant Grewal, Bob Mills, Julian Reed, Benoît Sauvageau, Bob Speller. Acting Members present: Sue Barnes for Jean Augustine; Monique Guay for Maud Debien. In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee and Gerald Schmitz, Research Officers. Witnesses: From the Export Development Corporation: A. Ian Gillespie, President. Pursuant to Standing Orders 110(1) and 111, The Committee proceeded to examine the Order in Council Appointment of Ian Gillespie as President of the Export Development Corporation (P.C. 1997-1126). Ian Gillespie made a statement and answered questions. At 10:47 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair. |
