The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 9:03 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, John Harvard, presiding.
Members of the Committee Committee present: Hélène Alarie, Rick Borotsik, Garry Breitkreuz, Murray Calder, Denis Coderre, John Harvard, Howard Hilstrom, Jake Hoeppner, Larry McCormick, Joe McGuire, Dick Proctor, Paul Steckle, M.P., Rose-Marie Ur.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Denis Fréchette, Economist.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee resumed the "Take Note" Hearings on the Upcoming World Trade Organization (WTO) Negotiations on agriculture -- (See Minutes of the Committee, of October 22, 1998, Meeting no. 50).
Mashoud JanJua, Félix Destrijker and Robert de Valk made opening statements and, with Mike Dungate and Neil Currie answered questions.
At 11:00 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:09 a.m. the sitting resumed.
Martine Mercier, John Stolp, Henry Koop and Brian Ellsworth made opening statements and, with Paul Jelley and Phil Boyd answered questions.
At 12:42 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
