The Standing Committee on Transport met in camera at 9:00 o'clock a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Bldg., the Chairman, Reg Alcock, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Roy Cullen, Joe Fontana, Jim Jordan, Stan Keyes and Paul Mercier.

Acting Member present: Bill Gilmour for Jim Gouk.

Other Member present: Paul Crête.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: John Christopher and David Cuthbertson, Research Officers.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced consideration of a draft report on Transportation, Trade and Tourism.

At 10:40 o'clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

The Standing Committee on Transport met in camera at 9:09 o'clock a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Bldg., the Chairman, Reg Alcock, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Paul Crête, Roy Cullen, Dick Harris, Jim Jordan, Stan Keyes and Paul Mercier.

Acting Members present: Lawrence O'Brien for Joe Fontana; Bob Speller for Joe Comuzzi.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: John Christopher and David Cuthbertson, Research Officers.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of a draft report on Transportation, Trade and Tourism.

The Chairman proceeded to the election of a Vice-Chair for the Opposition.

On motion of Paul Mercier, it was agreed,--That Paul Crête be elected Vice-Chair of the Committee.

It was agreed,--That the draft report, as amended, be adopted as the Committees Sixth Report and that the Chairman be instructed to present the report to the House.

That the Committee print 1,500 copies of its Report on Transportation, Trade and Tourism in tumble bilingual format with a distinctive cover.

That the Committee request the Government to table a comprehensive response to this Report.

That the Chairman be authorized to issue a press release and/or hold a press conference following the presentation of the Report to the House of Commons.

At 11:06 o'clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
