ORDERS OF REFERENCE

Extract from the Journals of the House of Commons of Wednesday, June 19, 1996:

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Afairs of Bill C-270, An Act to amend the Financial Administration Act (session of Parliament).

Mr. Milliken (Kingston and the Islands), seconded by Mr. McKinnon (Brandon--Souris), moved,--That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill was read the second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs.

Mrs. Terrana (Vancouver East), seconded by Mr. Reed (Halton--Peel), moved,--That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs.

Debate arose thereon.

By unanimous consent, it was ordered,--That the motion be amended by having the Bill referred, after second reading to the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs.

The debate continued.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill was read the second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs.
