M-169 Marine protected area

That, in the opinion of the House, the federal government should, in co-operation with the Government of Quebec, complete the proposed large-scale marine protected area in the St. Lawrence Estuary, within one year of the adoption of this motion, in order to provide appropriate management of the beluga habitat in the St. Lawrence, including its critical habitat, and to protect the habitats of the other marine mammals that frequent the area.
