1988 Olympic Torch

The 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic torch arrived on parliament hill on Wednesday, December 16, 1987 by runner Kristi Lambert. The torch was presented by the RT HON Brian Mulroney, P.C., M.P., Prime Minister and the HON. Otto Jelinek, P.C., M.P. Minister of State Fitness and Amateur Sport to the HON. Guy Charbonneau P.C. Speaker of the Senate and The HON. John A. Fraser P.C., Q.C., M.P, Speaker of the House of Commons on behalf of the Canadian people.
