Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, the committee resumed its study of the challenges faced by women living in rural communities.

Shealah Hart and Traci Anderson made statements and answered questions.

Lindsay Mathyssen gave notice of the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) the committee undertake a study of midwifery services across Canada, of not less than three meetings, including the ramifications of the elimination of Laurentian University’s midwifery program and strategies to ensure that access to health services is maintained.

At 1:08 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
