The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

The question: "That the committee call upon the Minister and officials from Health Canada to discuss the spending priorities outlined in the Supplementary Estimates (A), 2020-21" was put and was agreed to on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Don Davies, Rosemarie Falk, Darren Fisher, Helena Jaczek, Matt Jeneroux, Mike Kelloway, Robert Kitchen, Sonia Sidhu, Luc Thériault, Tony Van Bynen, Len Webber — 11;

NAYS: — 0.

It was agreed, — That the workplan for the briefing on the Canadian response to the outbreak of the coronavirus prepared by the analysts from the Library of Parliament, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee continue to receive briefs related to the study of palliative care in Canada on an ongoing basis.

RULING BY THE CHAIR

A question of privilege having been raised by Don Davies on May 20, 2020 in relation to reports that a witness may have been threatened, punished, intimidated or otherwise harmed by the Public Health Agency of Canada or the federal government in some capacity, because of testimony he has provided to the committee, the Chair ruled that the matter touched on privilege.

At 1:21 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
