Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the Subcommittee resumed its study of women human rights defenders.

Aura Lolita Chavez Ixcaquic, by videoconference from Madrid, Spain, and Ana Quirós Víquez, by teleconference from San José, Costa Rica, made statements and answered questions.

At 1:50 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:51 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 37,950, for the study of Women Human Rights Defenders, be adopted.

At 1:53 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
