The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That, the Subcommittee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development be granted the authority to print from day to day such papers and evidence as may be ordered by them, pursuant to Standing Order 108(1)(a).

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the motion to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.

Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Thursday, October 4, 2018, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the human rights situation of the Uyghurs.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Thursday, May 18, 2017, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the human rights surrounding natural resource extraction within Latin America.

The Subcommittee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Race to the Top: Improving Canada's Extractive Sector Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy to Safeguard Human Rights in Latin America".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Subcommittee, in consultation with the Chair, issue a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.

At 1:56 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
