APPENDIX H: CANADA’S FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE UNITED NATIONS’ PEACE OPERATIONS BUDGET, 2003-2019 (%)

 

The figure provides Canada’s percentage financial contribution to the United Nations’ (UN’s) peace operations budget for each fiscal year between 2003–2004 and 2018–2019; the UN’s fiscal year is 1 July to 30 June. The figure shows an increase in such contributions, from 2.8% in 2003–2004 to 3.2% by 2010–2011. Canada’s percentage contribution remained at 3.2% until 2012–2013 before starting to fall, reaching 2.9% in 2016–2017; it remained at this percentage in 2018–2019.

Note:      The United Nations’ fiscal year starts on 1 July and ends on 30 June.
