Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced its study of Organ Donation.

Leanne Appleton and Edward Ferre, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Isra Levy and Ronnie Gavsie made statements and, with Amber Appleby, answered questions.

At 5:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:06 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 13,100.00, for the study of Pre-Mixed Drinks Combining High Alcohol, Caffeine, and Sugar Content, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 14,100.00, for the study of Organ Donation, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the work plan prepared by the analysts in relation to the study of Diabetes Strategies in Canada and Abroad, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the testimony from Trillium Gift of Life Network received as part of the study of Organ Donation be considered as part of the Committee's next study on Diabetes Strategies in Canada and Abroad.

At 5:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
