Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Committee proceeded to a briefing by the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer and Library of Parliament on studying the Main Estimates 2017-18.

Alex Smith and Édison Roy-César made statements and answered questions.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:51 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Committee proceeded to a briefing session with Justin Forsyth, Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF and UN Assistant Secretary-General.

Justin Forsyth made a statement and, with Dominique Isabelle Hyde, answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee begin hearing from witnesses concerning the study of Canada's Development Finance Initiative.

At 10:50 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
