Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the Clerk of the Committee proceeded to the election of Vice-Chairs.

On motion of Pat Kelly, it was agreed, — That Nathaniel Erskine-Smith be elected First Vice-Chair of the Committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act (SCISA).

Donald Roussel, Dominic Rochon and Stephen Burt made statements and, with Marie-France Paquet, answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the meeting of Tuesday, February 7, 2017, be the last evidence-gathering meeting for the study of the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act (SCISA).

That the Committee study the government's response to the Committee's 2nd report entitled "Review of the Access to Information Act" at its meeting of Thursday, February 9, 2017.

That the Committee give drafting instructions to the Analysts for a draft report on the study of the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act (SCISA) at its meeting of Thursday, February 9, 2017.

That the Committee proceed with the consideration of matters related to Committee business at its meeting of Thursday, February 9, 2017.

That witnesses be invited to appear on Tuesday, February 14, Thursday, February 16, Tuesday, February 21, and Thursday, February 23, 2017, as part of the study of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

That the Committee consider the draft report on the study of the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act (SCISA) on Tuesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 9, 2017.

At 5:21 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
