Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 22, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of breach of personal information involving Cambridge Analytica and Facebook.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Democracy under Threat: Risks and Solutions in the Era of Disinformation and Data Monopoly".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held after the tabling of the Committee's report to the House on the breach of personal information involving Cambridge Analytica and Facebook.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a preliminary submission for travel to the Republic of Estonia, in the Spring of 2019, with regard to the Committee’s study on Privacy of Digital Government Services to be submitted to the Subcommittee on Budgets of the Liaison Committee before Friday, February 1, 2019.

At 11:48 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
