Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, November 2, 2016, the Committee resumed its study on immigration to Atlantic Canada (M-39).

Susan Wilson, by videoconference from Saint John, New Brunswick, Jeffrey Green, by videoconference from Saint John, New Brunswick, Charles Leger, by videoconference from Moncton, New Brunswick, Angelique Reddy-Kalala, by videoconference from Moncton, New Brunswick, Howard Ramos, Yoko Yoshida and Michael Haan made statements and answered questions.

At 9:52 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:54 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the Committee’s decision of October 16, 2017, and given scheduling difficulties that have arisen with departmental officials, the Chair be authorized to use his discretion when organizing the Committee’s calendar and the scheduling of witnesses for both the briefing regarding the resettlement issues related to Yezidi women and girls as well as the study of federal government policies and guidelines regarding medical inadmissibility of immigrants, while maintaining the goal of accomplishing both of them within the period of October 24 to November 23.

At 10:46 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
