The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 8:46 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mark Adler, Brad Butt, Anne-Marie Day, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Jim Hillyer, Larry Maguire, Hon. Gordon O'Connor and Bernard Trottier.

Acting Members present: Hon. Wayne Easter for Hon. Gerry Byrne and Mathieu Ravignat for Pat Martin.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: André Léonard, Analyst ; Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst.

Witnesses: Office of the Comptroller General of Canada: Bill Matthews, Comptroller General of Canada. Treasury Board Secretariat: Marcia Santiago, Executive Director, Expenditure Management Sector.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2014-2015: Vote 1b under CANADA SCHOOL OF PUBLIC SERVICE, Vote 1b under PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, Votes 1b and 5b under PUBLIC WORKS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES, Votes 1b and 5b under SHARED SERVICES CANADA and Vote 15b under TREASURY BOARD SECRETARIAT, referred to the Committee on Wednesday, November 5, 2014; and

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 30, 2014, the Committee commenced its study of Departmental Performance Reports for 2013-2014.

Bill Matthews made a statement and, with Marcia Santiago, answered questions.

At 10:30 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
