The Standing Committee on Finance met at 11:49 a.m. this day, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Willard Room, Toronto, Ontario, the Chair, Massimo Pacetti, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Hon. John McKay, Massimo Pacetti and Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

Acting Members present: Bev Oda for Brian Pallister.

Frontier College: Christina Tari, Chair, Board of Governors; John Daniel O'Leary, President. Hospital for Sick Children: Janet Rossant, Chief of Research. Opera.ca: John Hess, Director, Co-Artistic Director of the Queen of Puddings Music Theatre Company; Micheline McKay, Executive Director. Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2005.

Rick Miner, Christina Tari, Janet Rossant, John Hess, Jerry Doiron, Lucy White, Stan M. Shapson, Micheline McKay and Micheline Saunders made statements and, with John Daniel O'Leary, answered questions.

At 1:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
