The Standing Committee on Finance met in camera at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Roy Cullen, Nick Discepola, Ken Epp, Albina Guarnieri, Sophia Leung, Maria Minna, Shawn Murphy, Pauline Picard, Gary Pillitteri, Bryon Wilfert.
Acting Member present: Tony Valeri for Carolyn Bennett.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Acting Principal, Blayne Haggart and Marc-André Pigeon, Research Officers.
The Chair presented the Second Report of the Sub-Committee on Agenda and Procedure, which reads as follows:
SECOND REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON
AGENDA AND PROCEDURE
OF THE
STANDING COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
The Sub-Committee proceeded to consider the future business of the Committee and agreed to make the following report:
That, in the course of its Pre-Budget Consultations, the Committee travel to Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
That the Committee request a travel budget of $240,450.00 for its Pre-Budget Consultations.
That the Committee adopt the proposed meetings and subject matter schedule from April to June 2002.
That the Committee adopt the list of suggested witnesses for the Committee’s Pre-Budget Consultations Panels from April to June 2002.
