Mona Fortier moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “at the earliest opportunity regarding the Prime Minister’s vacation to Jamaica” with the words “for one meeting regarding the rules for travel in the Conflict of Interest Act and Code”.
Debate arose thereon.
René Villemure moved, — That the amendment be amended by replacing the words “rules for travel” with the words “rules for gifts, including vacations and travel,”.
Debate arose thereon.

After debate, the question was put on the subamendment of René Villemure and it was agreed to.
The committee resumed consideration of the amendment of Mona Fortier, as amended, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “at the earliest opportunity regarding the Prime Minister’s vacation to Jamaica” with the words “for one meeting regarding the rules for gifts, including vacations and travel, in the Conflict of Interest Act and Code”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Mona Fortier, as amended, and it was agreed to.
The committee resumed consideration of the motion, as amended, of Michael Barrett, — That the Interim Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner appear for one meeting regarding the rules for gifts, including vacations and travel, in the Conflict of Interest Act and Code.

Michael Barrett moved, — The committee order all correspondence including emails, text messages, messages sent on any electronic messaging applications, phone call logs, handwritten notes, memorandums, briefing materials and any documents produced regarding the Prime Minister’s travel to Prospect Estate in Jamaica in 2023-24 and 2022-23, and that the Prime Minister’s Office and Ethics Commissioner’s Office provide the clerk of the committee with these documents within seven days of this motion being adopted.

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived on the following recorded division:
