Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, the committee proceeded to a briefing on trauma informed practices.

Jennifer Dunn made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Status of the Artist Act and its impact on improving basic working conditions for artists.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Strengthening the Status of the Artist in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the officials from the Department of Canadian Heritage appearing on Monday, February 13, 2023, submit to the clerk of the committee copies of the program changes (CSMARI/ARAP), specifically: the new language for program guidelines, contribution agreement template; new language for application form (Declaration/Attestation portion); and new attestation to be applied to applications under assessment as well as any previous versions of these documents before their appearance at committee.

At 4:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
