Pursuant to the order of reference of Thursday, May 12, 2022, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-11, An Act to amend the Broadcasting Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts.

Andrew Cash, Jay Goldberg, Sam Norouzi, and Andrea Kokonis made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Chris Bittle moved, — That the deadline for amendments on Bill C-11, An Act to amend the Broadcasting Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts, be at 4:00 p.m. (ET) on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Motion

John Nater moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived on the following recorded division:

Whereupon, Anthony Housefather appealed the decision of the Chair.
