It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000, for the study of the Main Estimates 2024-25, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000, for the study of the Subject Matter of Supplementary Estimates (C) 2023-24, be adopted.
The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: “Invisible No More. The Experiences of Canadian Women Veterans”.
It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4:00 p.m. on May Tuesday, 21, 2024.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
ORDERED, — That the clerk and analyst of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.
ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., after the presentation of the committee's report to the House on the experience of women veterans; and that the committee be represented by the Chair and a representative from each party.
It was agreed, — That a representative of each party send the clerk and the analyst, no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, a quote to be included in the news release.
At 12:35 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
