Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday. October 27, 2020, the subcommittee commenced its study of the role of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise

Sheri Meyerhoffer made a statement and answered questions.

At 6:50 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:52 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Emily Dwyer made a statement and answered questions.

At 8:10 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 8:16 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $2,650 in relation to the study of Role of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That four proposed budgets each in the amount of $675, in relation to the briefings on the Human Rights Situations in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Columbia, and Turkey & Northern Syria, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, the draft work plan in relation to the study of the Role of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, the draft social media plan in relation to the study of Recognition of International Human Rights Champions, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, the Clerk write to the members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development inviting them to attend the March 8 meeting in relation to the study of Recognition of International Human Rights Champions.

At 8:27 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
