Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Friday, October 30, 2020, the committee resumed its study of economic recovery in the forestry sector.

Ken Kalesnikoff, Frédéric Verreault, Brian Fehr, and Maxime Cossette made statements and, with Brian Baarda, answered questions.

Bob Zimmer gave notice of the following motion:

That, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, be invited to appear before the committee as part of its ongoing study on economic recovery in the forestry sector, prior to Friday, December 11, 2020, to provide critical information relating to the recent World Trade Organization ruling, as the government official who appeared before the committee on Friday, October 30, 2020 was not able to respond to the question and suggested that the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development appear and answer that question at a future meeting.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
