Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee proceeded to a briefing with the Auditor General concerning the reports tabled in the House on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

Karen Hogan made a statement and, with Jean Goulet and Glenn Wheeler, answered questions.

At 12:08 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:15 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the clerk distribute a survey to members on behalf of the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Orders 108(1)(a) and 108(3)(g), with regard to any request for information or response contained in any report of the committee, the department or agency tasked with providing the request for information or response be obliged to provide it by no later than the deadline contained in the same report.

It was agreed, — That Julie Vignola be given access to the committee’s digital binders for the duration of the time that she is substituting for Maxime Blanchette-Joncas and provided with a briefing by the committee’s staff if she wishes.

It was agreed, — That the Deputy Minister of the Department of Finance and the Commissioner of the Canada Revenue Agency be invited to appear on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, to respond to questions concerning the study of Report 7, Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, and in relation to the documents requested by the committee on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

It was agreed, — That documents received from the Department of Finance and the Canada Revenue agency in response to an order of the committee on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, be published on the committee’s website as soon as possible.

It was agreed, — That all documents received by the committee be made public by publishing them on the committee’s website as soon as possible after receipt thereof.

At 1:00 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
