Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, the committee proceeded to a briefing with Law Clerk and the Privy Council Office.

Andrew Hayes, Michel Bédard and Jodie van Dieen made statements and answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, the committee resumed consideration of Report 6, Canada Emergency Response Benefit, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the committee on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Canada Emergency Response Benefit".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.
