Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee resumed its study of the subject matter of Supplementary Estimates (B), 2020-21: Vote 1b under Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Vote 1b under Canadian Accessibility Standards Development Organization, Vote 1b under Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety and Votes 1b and 5b under Department of Employment and Social Development.

The Minister made a statement and, with Mark Perlman and Graham Flack, answered questions.

At 6:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:03 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Graham Flack, Mark Perlman, Benoît Robidoux and Elisha Ram answered questions.

Jamie Schmale gave notice of the following motion:

That the committee conduct a study of no less than three two-hour meetings on the implementation of the seven recommendations found in the committee’s 14th report entitled “Supporting Families After the Loss of a Child”; that the committee invite the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and departmental officials to appear for one hour each; that the committee invite pregnancy and infant loss stakeholders groups to appear for no less than two, two-hour meetings; that the meetings be televised; and that that the committee present its findings to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Friday, October 9, 2020, the committee resumed its study of urban, rural, and northern Indigenous housing.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

At 7:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
