Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, March 24, 2021, the committee commenced consideration of Bill C-230, An Act respecting the development of a national strategy to redress environmental racism.

Lenore Zann and Ingrid Waldron made statements and answered questions.

At 5:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:47 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Laura Farquharson and David Morin made statements and, with Silke Neve and Pascal Roberge, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change and the deputy minister be invited to appear before the committee on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 on the subject of Main Estimates 2021-22, and that they be accompanied by no more than four other officials.

At 6:48 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
