Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (A), 2021-22: Vote 1a under Department of Citizenship and Immigration, referred to the committee on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Hon. Marco Mendicino made a statement and answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, the committee commenced its study of the Economic imperative and long-term importance for small rural municipalities outside of major cities to retain new immigrants.

Catrina Tapley made a statement and, with Daniel Mills and Caitlin Imrie, answered questions.

At 6:34 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
