Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, the committee commenced its study of the subject matter of supplementary estimates (B), 2019-20: Vote 5b under Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Minister made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 9:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The witnesses answered questions.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of the committee’s study of Federal supports and services to Canadian veterans’ caregivers and families, Members submit their witness lists to the clerk of the committee, ranked in order of priority, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of the study of the Backlog of disability benefit claims at the Department of Veterans Affairs, the deadline for the submission of briefs be no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 31, 2020, and that the text do not exceed 2,000 words.

At 10:47 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
