| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, October 5, 2016, your Committee has considered Bill C-227, An Act to amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act (community benefit), and agreed on Thursday, December 1, 2016, to report it with the following amendments: |

That Bill C-227, in Clause 1, be amended by replacing line 8 on page 1 with the following: “benefit means a social, economic or environmental benefit that a com-” |
That Bill C-227, in Clause 1, be amended by replacing line 23 on page 1 to line 1 on page 2 with the following: “House of Parliament, within 90 days after the end of each fiscal year or, if Parliament is not then sitting, on any of the first 90 days next thereafter that Parliament is sitting,” |
That Bill C-227, in Clause 1, be amended by replacing lines 2 and 3 on page 2 with the following: “a report on community benefits provided by construction, maintenance or repair projects.” |
| Your Committee has ordered a reprint of Bill C-227, as amended, as a working copy for the use of the House of Commons at the report stage. |
| A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meetings Nos. 30, 31 and 37) is tabled. |
