At 9:52 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:52 a.m., the sitting resumed.
Matt Jeneroux moved, — That the committee invite the Parliamentary Budget Officer to provide an update on his report, Phase I of the Investing in Canada Plan.
Debate arose thereon.
It was agreed, — That the motion be amended by adding after the word “Plan”, the words “and that the Chair be empowered to coordinate the necessary witnesses, resources and scheduling to complete this task”.
The question was put on the motion, as amended, and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 9; NAYS: 0.
The motion, as amended, read as follows:
That the committee invite the Parliamentary Budget Officer to provide an update on his report, Phase I of the Investing in Canada Plan, and that the Chair be empowered to coordinate the necessary witnesses, resources and scheduling to complete this task.

It was agreed, — That the Committee commit to no more than 4 meetings to study noise pollution from air traffic in the vicinities surrounding major airports throughout Canada and that the Chair shall be empowered to coordinate the necessary witnesses, resources, and scheduling to complete this task.
It was agreed, — That a short description on the study of assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake to study the question of noise pollution related to smaller airports and flight schools as part of the study of M-177, upon its referral to the Committee.
It was agreed, — That NAV Canada be invited to appear in relation to the study of assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports.
It was agreed, — That two travel proposals for the Winter/Spring 2019 period be adopted and submitted to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee. The first proposal should include Québec City, Quebec, Trois-Rivières, Quebec and Montréal, Quebec. The second proposal should include St. John’s, Newfoundland and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
