Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a budget of $2,500 for additional hospitality expenses related to its study Needs and Issues Specific to Indigenous Veterans.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a study budget of $39,800 for its study of Bill C-74, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 27, 2018, and other measures.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by the Hon. MaryAnn Mihychuk regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

The Clerk gave a presentation on the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Needs and Issues Specific to Indigenous Veterans, Part 2, not exceeding $100,000, and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development to prepare a detailed budget not exceeding $150,000, related to its travel proposal for its study Canada’s Sovereignty in the Arctic, and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Finance to prepare detailed budgets related to its travel proposals for its Pre-Budget Consultations in Advance of the 2019 Budget, not exceeding $200,000 for its Canadian component and $100,000 for its international component, and submit them to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Small Craft Harbours Program, and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Official Languages to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Action Plan for Official Languages 2018-23: Investing in Our Future, and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on National Defence to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Canada’s Contributions to International Peacekeeping, and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Public Accounts to prepare detailed budgets related to its travel proposals for its participation to the Conference of the Commonwealth Association of Public Accounts Committees (CAPAC) and the Annual Conference of the Canadian Council of Public Accounts Committees (CCPAC) and Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors (CCOLA) Annual Conference, and submit them to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its studies Use of Ion Spectrometers by Correctional Service Canada, Indigenous People in the Correctional System and Inmate Work and Prison Industries, and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Canadian Transportation and Logistics Strategy (Trade Corridors), and submit it to the Subcommittee before June 1, 2018.

At 1:48 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
