Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, May 23, 2018, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-76, An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and other Acts and to make certain consequential amendments.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a draft budget respecting the Committee's proposed travel to Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, Prairies, and British Columbia, in relation to its study of Bill C-76, An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and other Acts and to make certain consequential amendments, for consideration by the Committee on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
