The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 27,300, for the study of hiring veterans for public service positions, be adopted.

At 3:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:32 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Orders 108(2) and 108(3)(c)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the Committee commenced its study of hiring veterans for public service positions.

Andrew Richards, Wolfgang Zimmermann and Debbie Lowther made statements and, with LGen (Ret'd) Walter Semianiw, answered questions.

At 4:27 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Katherine Lamy and Danielle Boutilier made statements and answered questions.

At 5:30 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 5:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
