It was agreed, — That the Committee sit despite technical difficulties preventing simultaneous interpretation.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Access to Justice Part 2: Legal Aid".
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the Clerk and the analysts, in consultation with the Chair, issue a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the Clerk send the report entitled ''Access to Justice Part 2: Legal Aid'' to the witnesses who appeared before the Committee in relation to the study, to provincial and territorial plans of Legal Aid Program and to provincial and territorial bar associations.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Bill C-51, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Department of Justice Act and to make consequential amendments to another Act, the Committee devote four meetings to hear from witnesses and then proceed to clause-by-clause study of the Bill.
At 4:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
