Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, May 8, 2019, the Committee commenced its study of the Private Members' motion M-208 on rural digital infrastructure.

The Minister made a statement and, with Lisa Setlakwe, answered questions.

At 9:50 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:53 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, December 13, 2017, and section 92 of the Copyright Act, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Act.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Statutory Review of the Copyright Act".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request the Government table a comprehensive response to the report; however, notwithstanding the deadline of 120 days stipulated in Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the comprehensive response to this report be tabled within 90 days of the presentation of the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, be authorized to finalize the pull quotes, the conclusion, and the summary of the report.

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report supplementary opinions, immediately after the signature of the Chair, provided that they are no more than 5 pages in length, in Calibri, 12-point font, left alined, single line spacing and be submitted electronically, in at least one official language, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than noon on Friday, May 24, 2019; and that, should a title be added to such a dissenting or supplementary opinion, it should be in Cambria, 14-point font.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That, in addition to the 50 copies printed by the House, the Committee print 20 additional copies of the Report..

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 10:43 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
