The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 4:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:06 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Motion

Don Davies moved, — That the Standing Committee on Health study the status of health and health care within Indigenous communities in Canada, including status, non-status, on-reserve, off-reserve and urban Indigenous populations, with the objective of better understanding the particular healthcare needs of this population, the gaps in service delivery, review the effectiveness of the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch of Health Canada, and report its findings to the House.

It was agreed, — That the Committee resume debate on the motion at the end of its next meeting.

At 4:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
