Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, October 17, 2017, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-55, An Act to amend the Oceans Act and the Canada Petroleum Resources Act.

The Chair called Clause 1.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:51 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Jeff MacDonald, Philippe Morel and Kevin Stringer answered questions.

It was agreed, — That Jeff MacDonald, Philippe Morel and Kevin Stringer, or other representatives from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, be invited again to appear.

At 10:09 a.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for an additional seven minutes.

At 10:17 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
