Julie Gelfand and Kevin Stringer made statements and with Sharon Clark, Sylvie Lapointe and Arran McPherson answered questions.
It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister and Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, or in case of unavailability, one or the other, to attend a meeting of the Committee during either the week of April 3, 2017 or April 10, 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter, to respond to commitments made to the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, in the report ‘Sustaining Canada’s Major Fish Stocks – Fisheries and Oceans Canada’, dated October 2016.
At 9:51 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:54 a.m., the sitting resumed In Camera.
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
At 10:47 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
