Statutory Review of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act and the Special Economic Measures Act
Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, April 14, 2016 and section 20 of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act and the Special Economic Measures Act.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a work plan be prepared for a study on relations between Canada and the United States.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a budget proposal for travel to Washington D.C., in the Spring of 2017, to be presented to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet with Julia Gillard, representative of the Global Partnership for Education on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

At 9:50 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
