Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 4, 2016, the Committee proceeded to a briefing with appropriate officials from Global Affairs Canada to provide members with an update on current concerns within their mandate related to foreign affairs and international development.

Vincent Rigby, Alex Bugailiskis, Mark Gwozdecky and Sarah Fountain Smith made statements and, with Heather Jeffrey, answered questions.

At 5:14 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:20 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meet on Thursday, February 18, 2016.

It was agreed, — That the Notices of Motions of Hélène Laverdière be referred to the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure for discussion.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
