Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Privacy Act.

Robert Mundie, Rennie Marcoux, Michael Peirce and Stefanie Beck made statements and, with Dan Proulx and Joe Oliver, answered questions.

At 12:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:00 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the motion adopted on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 concerning the review of the Law on the Protection of Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) now read as follows:

That the Committee commit to undertake the statutory review of the Law on the Protection of Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) directly following the end of the current study, namely the study of the Privacy Act.

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
