The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Motion

Peter Kent moved, — That the Committee invite senior officials to appear on behalf of the newly formed Security and Intelligence Threats to Elections Task Force.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Jacques Gourde moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “senior officials” with the words “the Minister” and by adding after the word “Force" the words: “to discuss the vision, the challenge and operating protocols”.

After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Jacques Gourde and it was agreed to.

The motion, as amended, read as follows:

That the Committee invite the Minister to appear on behalf of the newly formed Security and Intelligence Threats to Elections Task Force to discuss the vision, the challenge and operating protocols.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of Privacy of Digital Government Services.

David Carroll, Chris Vickery and Jason Kint made statements and answered questions.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
