Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 25, 2016, the Committee resumed its study on family reunification.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That a final version of the report be circulated to the members as soon as possible.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Family Reunification".

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report any dissenting and/or supplementary opinions provided that they are no more than ten (10) pages in length, in the same style and format as the report (Arial, 12 point, single space); and that it is submitted electronically in both official languages to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than Monday, March 6, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. (EST).

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the study on immigration to Atlantic Canada, the proposed budget in the amount of $82,346.60, for the Committee’s travel to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; and Moncton, Cap-Pele and Fredericton, New Brunswick in Spring - Summer 2017, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship be invited to appear on the ministerial mandate letter as well as on the Supplementary Estimates (C) 2016-17; and that the appearance take place forthwith.

At 5:40 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
