Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the modernization of client service delivery.

Loly Rico, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, and Dory Jade made statements and answered questions.

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 4:33, Borys Wrzesnewskyj took the Chair.

Richard Kurland and David Nurse made statements and answered questions.

At 5:23 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:24 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee no longer travel to Sydney and Mississauga in relation to the study on the modernization of client service delivery.

It was agreed, — That travel budgets in relation to the studies on the federal government’s initiative to resettle Syrian refugees to Canada, on resettling Yazidi girls and women and on the immigration measures for the protection of vulnerable groups, as well as in relation to the study on immigration to Atlantic Canada, be prepared for the Committee's consideration in February 2017.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
