The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, due to the increasing importance of public trust in Canadian agriculture, the Committee conduct a study consisting of four to six meetings to better understand how the public perceives the Canadian agricultural sector, the challenges and opportunities for the sector, the current steps being taken by both industry and government to improve public trust, and what further steps should be taken.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the perception of the agricultural sector by the public, each party send a list of suggested witnesses, including their contact information, to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019.

At 11:39 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
