Message from the Senate

     I have the honour to inform the House that messages have been received from the Senate informing this House that the Senate has passed the following bills.
    Bill C-50, An Act for granting to Her Majesty certain sums of money for the federal public administration for the financial year ending March 31, 2013;
    Bill C-36, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (elder abuse);
    Bill C-300, An Act respecting a Federal Framework for Suicide Prevention;
    Bill C-45, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 29, 2012 and other measures.

    A message was delivered by the Usher of the Black Rod as follows:
    Mr. Speaker, His Excellency the Governor General desires the immediate attendance of this honourable House in the chamber of the Senate.
    Accordingly, the Speaker with the House went up to the Senate chamber.
    And being returned:
    I have the honour to inform the House that when the House did attend His Excellency the Governor General in the Senate chamber, His Excellency was pleased to give, in Her Majesty's name, the royal assent to the following bills:
    C-24, An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the Republic of Panama, the Agreement on the Environment between Canada and the Republic of Panama and the Agreement on Labour Cooperation between Canada and the Republic of Panama—Chapter 26, 2012.
    C-36, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (elder abuse)—Chapter 29, 2012.
    C-44, An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code and the Employment Insurance Act and to make consequential amendments to the Income Tax Act and the Income Tax Regulations—Chapter 27, 2012.
    C-45, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 29, 2012 and other measures—Chapter 31, 2012.
    C-50, An Act for granting to Her Majesty certain sums of money for the federal public administration for the financial year ending March 31, 2013—Chapter 28, 2012.
    C-300, An Act respecting a Federal Framework for Suicide Prevention—Chapter 30, 2012.
    C-313, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (non-corrective contact lenses)—Chapter 25, 2012.
