FINA Committee Meeting

The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 4:02 p.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

The Chair calls Vote 5b under FINANCE.

Sherry Harrison made a statement and, with Brian Pagan, Jean-Michel Catta, Chantal Maheu and Lise Potvin, answered questions.

At 5:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

It was agreed, — That the following calendar of activities be adopted:

December 3, 2012 – 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Consideration of Supplementary Estimates B 2012-2013; 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Pre-budget Consultations Consideration of Draft Report Meeting 1 (text);

December 4, 2012 – 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Pre-budget Consultations Consideration of Draft Report Meeting 2 (text);

December 4, 2012 – Deadline for parties to submit recommendations (by 5:00 p.m. if recommendations are in both official languages; by noon if recommendations are only in one official language);

December 5, 2012 – 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Pre-budget Consultations Consideration of Draft Report Meeting 3 (recommendations);

December 6, 2012 – 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Pre-budget Consultations Consideration of Draft Report Meeting 4 (recommendations);

December 10, 2012 – 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Pre-budget Consultations Consideration of Draft Report Meeting 5 (adopt recommendations);

December 10, 2012 – 9:00 a.m. – Deadline for parties to submit final proposals for changes to the text of the report;

December 11, 2012 – noon – Deadline for dissenting or supplementary opinions to be submitted to the clerk in both official languages;

December 12, 2012 – Presentation of the 2012 Pre-budget Consultations Report to the House by the Chair.
